Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who reads my blogs. It's going to be a very quiet Thanksgiving - just the four of us. My mom is going to visit a couple of my sisters who live in southern Wisconsin (she'll be with us for Christmas). Hubby is working today (Wednesday) and also has to work Friday, so it's not much of a holiday for him. But I really don't mind being by ourselves on Thanksgiving - it's kind of fun to make our own traditions. I'm sure we'll take the dog out to the State Park for a walk in the morning, probably play some board games, watch football and basically take it easy. (And probably take a nap after eating turkey!!) Another thing I love to do on Thanksgiving is read all of the ads for the sales that will be going on for Black Friday. I don't have anything specific I'm looking for this year, but it's always fun to see what's on sale.

On another note - both kids got their first quarter report cards and did very well. School definitely gets tougher as the kids get older - Buddy made the honor roll, but didn't make high honors. I'm totally fine with that, just so his grades don't keep going farther down. It's really amazing what they're learning in 7th grade. Missy had her first report card with A-B-C grades and she did very well. She's can be a bit of a space cadet, so I worry that she might not get as good of grades as Buddy has, but her report card looked great!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too. I read your comment about the Chapman video on my site and it's fine for you to post too. Congratulate the kids for me on their grades...that's a wonderful accomplishment!
